Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
These are uncertain times for all of us not least of all the charity sector who rely heavily on fundraising to continue their vital work. During this quarantine period it's more important than ever to support each other where we can. The British Porphyria Association are a small charity who raise awareness about a very nasty set of rare diseases. Their work is an important lifeline to patients but also to their families & caregivers. I recently heard one of their team speak publicly about the devastating effect the disease has had on their family resulting in years of hospital stays & life limiting implications. I am in awe of someone who can be so positive in the face of such adversity.
Ophelia & I wanted to recognise National Porphyria week in the UK somehow... As the schools are out until September (help!) & Mummy's martial law has taken over, we thought what better time to dye Ophelia's long blonde hair PURPLE! She has dabbled with dying the tips previously but has never done a full head (equally I've never dyed a full head either).
If we hit our target then I may be persuaded to dye a little bit of my own hair too...
I fully appreciate these are tough times, if you can spare even £1 this will make a difference to this lovely charity. Thank you in advance.
