TALK aims to support people with aphasia by enabling them to practise all aspects of communication and promote confidence in a supportive environment, leading to increased participation and independence within the community. We fulfil our aims by providing long term communication and social support.

Story

In loving memory of a wonderful lady who enriched the lives of those she met.

Evelyn put 100% into everything she did be it genealogy - tracing her family back to 1400, horse racing - owning a share in many horses, or knitting one handed.

She had an astounding determination to overcome the limitations caused by her stroke in 2016 - exercising daily on her exercise bike and non-stop practicing of her physio and iPad speech exercises.

Her gallery shows her sense of fun and her fighting spirit

TALK Guildford group welcomed Evelyn with open arms and enabled her to have a laugh with her friends over a nice cup of tea.

The support, care and kindness shown by this small charity was invaluable to both Evelyn and Yvonne.

In memory of Evelyn, please make a donation to enable TALK to help other stroke recoverers.
