Story
On the 21st August 2022 I will be live-streaming the cutting of 22 inches of my hair which I will be donating to The Little Princess Trust in memory of my little cousin, Darci Jackson. This would have been her 10th birthday.
Darci, a brave and sassy 6-year-old who battled with childhood leukaemia for a number of years, finally lost her battle and passed away on 31st August 2018. She is sorely missed by all who knew her.
The donated hair will be used by The Little Princess Trust to create wigs for children and young people who are undergoing cancer treatment. Darci benefitted from this charity, receiving two wigs, which were suited to her character, bold and bright!
I also seek to raise funds for a local charity, LoveOliver who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and their families in Scotland diagnosed with cancer through provision of appropriate financial and practical support and the development of new treatments through research. Any money donated by you will stay in Scotland and will provide invaluable support to families at the Royal Hospitals for Sick Children in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. One of their projects include playrooms at the hospitals where families can enjoy a brief respite in play. LoveOliver also work closely with the CLIC Sargent Social Workers to provide supermarket vouchers and financial grants for families.
I hope you join us and angel Darci raising funds for this very worthwhile cause.
