This Ramadan, the Sultan Bahu Masjid aim to help children living in low-income families to support them in 3 main areas:
Tuition & Educational Resources
Mental & Spiritual Health
Food Support
Child poverty in the UK is a real thing and is something that needs to be addressed. With many families in our local communities living on a very low income, children begin to suffer as a consequence and this can have a major impact on their lives in a number of ways. With there being a direct link between high unemployment and high crime rates, we are looking at different ways to tackle these issues. It is very important to remember that Prevention > Cure.
We feel these are 3 areas key for our children to help ease their stress and give them a better opportunity with their education and steer them away from potentially getting involved in crime.
All our project recipients are Zakah and Sadaqah applicable and are based in socially deprived areas of Birmingham and suburbs.
