Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many of you will have seen me lapping Emberton Park over the past few weeks in the initial stages of my marathon training. Having been lucky enough to secure a place in the 2015 London Marathon, I want to take the opportunity to support a cause that could really benefit from my sponsorship monies.
I have chosen to run for Advantage Africa, a charity that helps marginalised people in East Africa to improve their education, health and incomes. The charity supports the most vulnerable people in East African society, including those affected by disability and HIV, enabling them where possible to become self-reliant. I know the charity's founders and have a great deal of faith that they will make sure your sponsorship money reaches the individuals in most need.
Your sponsorship means a lot to me; it will keep me going on my long and currently very chilly training runs, and on those punishing sessions on the treadmill whilst I try to master interval running. And when marathon day dawns on 26 April with 26.2 miles ahead of me, it will be fantastic to think that Advantage Africa are benefiting from my exertions!
Thank you so much in advance for your support. I really appreciate it.
