Sam Perkins, my husband, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in March 2019. MND is a degenerative disease which robs sufferers of their ability to move, speak, eat and breathe. These symptoms arrive in any order they choose and there is no cure. MND is terminal with a short prognosis of 2 - 5 years post-diagnosis. There is currently no cure.

In short, MND is a cruel and unforgiving disease.

Despite all of this Sam has demonstrated an incredible determination to make the most of what time he has left which includes raising funds and awareness for support for MND sufferers and research into a cure for MND.
