When I rescued Timo from a dogs home in North Wales, I started to realise the tireless work that rescue centres and dogs homes do to help unwanted dogs and cats. They work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the majority of workers are actually volunteers, who give up their time to help animals in need. The Dogs Trust's mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. Unlike other charities, they never put a healthy dog down and campaign for animal welfare rights.
