Emma's Run to Remember

PC Nicola Hughes · 1 December 2013
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm taking part in the run to remember running 250 miles over 125 days to raise money for the PC Nicola Hughes charity.
On 18 September 2012, Police Constables Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone, two Greater Manchester Police officers, were killed by Dale Cregan in a gun and grenade attack while responding to a report of a burglary in Greater Manchester, England. This left thousands of people shocked, stunned and horrified at the behaviour and actions of one individual who took the lives of two people who's daily job was to protect and serve the public. This had a profound impact on Police Officers up and down the country and brought home just how dangerous our job can be.
So myself a serving Police Officer of Lincolnshire Police and many others have agreed to take part in what I feel is a huge challenge. I know I will personally do my very best to raise the vital funds needed for Victim Support, Care of Police Survivors and the North West Police Benevolent Fund.
Any contribution no matter how small will go far in making a difference to so many people. I will be using GPS when I can to assist with tracking my progress, I will also do my upmost to keep everyone updated with my progress.
So I ask you to help support me with not only this personal challenge for myes elf but to support those people that through no fault of their own become victims of crime.
Thank you for your support,
Emma
