Story
On Sunday 9th February I will be taking part in this years London Winter Run, along with 25,000 other runners. The run is a 10k challenge through the heart of the city, passing world famous landmarks.
Launched in 2015, this event has now become an annual tradition for me. This is my 3rd year taking part. I love to run and hope to achieve a PB but more importantly I would like to take this opportunity to raise money for its official charity partner - Cancer Research UK which has already raised more than £3 million in its partnership.
1 in 2 people get cancer in their lifetime. Cancer Research helps to save lives and has helped double cancer survival in the UK over the last 40 years. By 2034 the aim is for 3 in 4 people to survive all cancers.
Cancer Research UK does not receive any government funding, so relies on every pound raised.
Any donation is welcome, however small. Every penny counts.
