Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our 13 year old niece was diagnosed with Leukaemia around a month ago. Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words "you have cancer".
Specialist nursing care & support is needed to get her through this challenging time. The Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to meeting this vital need – so no young person faces cancer alone. They have been invaluable to date.
This charity receives no government or NHS funding & so relies heavily on the generosity and trust of the supporters.
To try and give something back, myself and Amelie have signed up to a 10 mile walk on July 8th at an organised event in the Peak District.
Please please can we ask for sponsorship. This will mean the absolute world to us, our family and of course to our niece Autumn and all who work for this unbelievable charity, not to mention others who need this help too. Your support truly can make a huge difference right through cancer treatment and beyond.
We appreciate times are hard right now more than ever but please can you take a moment to think what this would mean and to appreciate how Autumn and her family felt when she found out the reason why she’d been feeling so unwell.
We look to you to help us reach our target, we will be forever grateful. I’ve put £1000 as the target which may seem high, but this charity also gives every child diagnosed a £500 voucher of their choice as a way to boost their spirits. We’d love to be able to give 2 children this special gift.
Thank you all so much in advance 🙏🏻 x
