Story
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic our 2020 Kenya trip was unable to happen, now that restrictions have eased we are finally able to complete the trip in August/September of this year. Instead of doing the Great North Run as previously planned I will be climbing Mount Kenya (17,000ft) as part of the trip. I have also signed up to an Olympic distance triathlon (1.5k swim, 40k cycle, 10k run) taking place on 14th August which I'm hoping will get me to peak fitness for the climb.
Any donations previously made to the trip have been carried over to to this page, I was unable to add them individually so thank you to Rebecca Cabaniss, Mark Gorman, Beth and a couple of anonymous people who have already donated.
I am self-funding the trip so any donations made will be going directly to the charity so they can keep doing the amazing work they do of empowering women and girls in Kenya through education.
Any support would be greatly appreciated.

I have decided to set out on an adventure this summer to climb the second tallest mountain in Africa to raise money for Team Kenya!Mount Kenya is one of the toughest treks in the world. At more than 17,000ft, the ascent over tough terrain is not going to be easy! However, this is a challenge I'm ready to take.Team Kenya involve entire communities in gender equality, so that girls in rural Kenya can create their own bright futures. By investing in girls education, preventing early marriage and teen pregnancy, issues such as HIV and AIDS can be resolved and the cycle of poverty can be broken.By sponsoring me you will be helping to level the playing field and tackle inequality.Thank you.
