Story

I am in year 9 at school, am taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award and have chosen to fundraise for Climbers Against Cancer for the volunteering section. I climb weekly, have developed a love of climbing and would like to use this to give something back to the climbing community.  I have challenged myself to climb the height of Scaffel Pike (the highest mountain in England - 978m) over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of April at two of my local climbing centres.  This will require me to complete approximately 50 ascents of the indoor climbing walls per day.

I want to support CAC and raise funds for them as I believe that this is a very important aspect of today’s society - the fight against cancer. The quote “In Life We are All Climbers” inspired me to earn as much as possible for those in need. There is always a challenge to overcome in life, but what awaits at the summit is worth the fight.

Thank you to Mike for your unending support and assistance with everything, to The Warehouse Gloucester and Redpoint Worcester for allowing me access to their centres during the event and to everyone who donates.
