Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

I am running the London Marathon on 26th April 2020 to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK. Muscular Dystrophy UK provides support for families living with muscle wasting conditions and funds research into finding new treatments and cures.

This is a charity that is close to my heart as my uncle Philip passed away at just 45 years old, he had Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. My mum’s side of the family is further affected by Muscular Dystrophy as my mum’s aunt has the condition and her cousin recently passed away aged just 50.

Anything you can donate would be immensely appreciated. This is going to be a huge goal for me as the furthest I have ever run is 13 miles (and that was 7 years ago!) and now I’ve got to double it! I am excited for the challenge and hope to raise as much as I can for this wonderful and often less publicised charity.
