Pakistan has been struck by a 5.8 magnitude powerful earthquake affecting thousands of families, infrastructure and livelihoods. 

The numbers for the injured and deceased are expected to rise. Having worked in disaster response after the Pakistan floods of 2010 as part of a medical team, I am all too aware of the consequences of natural disasters in this area and the aftermath. 

I am raising emergency funds for survivors of the earthquake and medical relief as reports are already indicating that hospitals in the region have been inundated with the injured.
