I am going to be taught how to play the trombone! Lots of members of MUMS (Manchester Uni Music Society) take up the challenge of taking (and hopefully passing!) the grade 1 on an instrument very different to one they already play, and the trombone stood out to me as being the right one to try! It's a loud and big brass instument so I am very excited to learn the basics!

I will be taking the exam around March. In June, I will also be playing in the Grade1athon Orchestra at the uni - something that should not be missed if you are in the area!
