I am running the Edinburgh Marathon Festival Junior 2K in aid of Citadel SCIO ( I wanted to do the 5k but I’m 6 days to young).

I’ve been going to Citadel for the last couple of years and LOVE my youth club. I’ve made lots of new friends and have the best time there every week - playing on the bouncy castle, cooking, quizzes, hanging out with my new friends, arts and crafts and even going on trips. I can go to citadel right until I’m 18 and then have the chance to be a volunteer to look after all the clubs - the juniors, inters, seniors, inter generational, the young mums clubs, all of them! My Mam told me that last year Citadel lost a huge chunk of its funding and the centre could end up at risk of closing. This makes me really angry and sad because Citadel is there for me and folk of all ages in Leith. I want to raise as much money as I can for this charity because they are so important to me and my friends. I would love it if you can sponsor me for this run as it’s for such a good cause and helps the whole community of Leith, my home.
