I am due a hair cut, but this time I'm going to cut 35cm of my hair off on the 21st of March to raise money for the Willow Foundation and to donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust to be made into a wig for cancer patients.

In 2010 my sister had her cancer treatment. I have the vivid memory when getting my hair cut my sister saying to me "I wish I could have some of your hair" this has stuck with me to this day. Whilst raising money for the Willow Foundation I am also donating my hair http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk

The Willow Foundation supported Claire and gave her a memorable experience day and it gave us some much needed quality time together. She has now recovered from her cancer for which I am so grateful, but some are not so lucky.

Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. Sadly for some, it’s a last chance to fulfil a dream with the people that really matter. Thankfully for many more their Special Day is an important opportunity to put much-needed normality back into living.

Everyone is affected by cancer in one way or another. Having had a dad and a sister having gone through the trauma of being diagnosed I am lucky enough to say that they are now ok. I recently lost a good friend to cancer I am ever more aware of a longing to help in any way I can.
