Story
This June I will be travelling to Tanzania for a month with Friends of Africa as part of their Global Solidarity Project 🌍👣.
Our team will work for four weeks on youth development projects in the town of Mwanza. Projects include delivering personal and social development workshops in areas of relationships and gender equality, working with vulnerable young women who live in poverty, a shared education and learning for life programme and the running of a summer camp for the local teenagers and young adults. The camp will include a variety of sports, formal English tutorials, informal youth workshops around health and social issues and celebrating culture and diversity.
Friends of Africa’s mission is to work with young people in Ireland and our partner countries in Africa, providing personal and social development opportunities. Thinking globally and acting locally will underpin our work in creating a more just and equal world.
Over the next few months I will be organising fundraising events for this Global Solidarity Project. All donations are greatly appreciated🇹🇿!
