Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

We have all decided that this year we will be fund raising in aid of Isobel's Gift, a childrens charity that provides funds for brain tumour research and patient support. This charity was originally suggested by Elaine Wilkinson and this is her story....

Isobel May Crawshaw was a beautiful 4 year old girl who sadly died just six months after being diagnosed with a brain stem tumour. Isobel was a friend of Elaine's daughter Chloe, they went to nursery together and Baby Ballet classes every Saturday. They loved to dance, skip and just be 4 year old girls chasing around after each other, laughing and screaming. Isobel was diagnosed in February and fought the monster bravely, sadly she died in August.  Isobel's death affected Chloe deeply, no parent should have to break such news at such a young age. Not a day goes by without Chloe mentioning Isobel and she says goodnight to her star every night before bed.

Brain tumours kill more children than any other form of cancer yet research is minimal.

Andrea’s Gift is Yorkshire’s leading brain tumour charity, providing funds for brain tumour research and patient support.

Isobel's devastated family are determined that brain tumour research in Yorkshire will develop new treatments and improve the prognosis for children in the future. Please dig deep, donate now and help this worthy cause, please do not let Isobel's death be in vain. Thank you for your support.
