Story

On Monday 14 December 2020, Joe sadly passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was well looked after by wonderful NHS staff.

At the same time, Joe received great support from the staff at St. Margaret of Scotland Hospice - with great thanks to Dr Duffy, Kathryn, Izzy and the rest of the team for everything you did in these trying times.

Joe's family would also like to thank Dr Stenhouse of the Green Wing at Clydebank Health Centre who connected them with St. Margaret of Scotland Hospice.  The family are extremely grateful to have these institutions in and around our community.

Joe spent most of his working life in John Browns Shipbuilders and Yarrows Shipbuilders as an electrician.  He was also a member of Clydebank & District Golf Club for more than 50 years as well as having a great interest in local football especially when his boys were playing in their younger days.  Joe also enjoyed watching Clydebank FC where he had been a season ticket holder.

Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth, his 3 sons, their wives and his 4 granddaughters.  He is also sadly missed by extended family and his many friends.
