My name is Ava Murray, I am ten years old and I have Type 1 Diabetes. 

Last summer, myself, my parents and my two brothers got the chance to visit Barretstown for one of their weekend family camps, I had the best weekend ever. I would really love for more children to get the chance to experience what an amazing place it is. 

I have decided to cut 14 inches off my long, blonde hair for charity. The hair will be used to make wigs for children suffering from hair loss and the money raised will go to help send children with serious illnesses to Barretstown so that they too can have the experience of a lifetime.
