As a Gosport girl, I was proud to visit a number of local charities and organisations when campaigning with Caroline Dinenage during the General Election. The visit which had the biggest impact on me by far was to our local branch of Headway. Headway is a nationwide charity that supports people living with brain injuries; in Gosport the group meets every week at Bridgemary Community School. I was inspired by the kind and committed volunteers and the progress that service users were making so decided to help raise some much needed money for their coffers.
I heard mention of the Great South Run, and having been thinking about signing up to a race for a while, immediately put my name down. Since then I've been pounding the streets of London in preparation (if only my PE teachers could see me now...) and am looking forward to the 25th October!
I'm really proud to be supporting this tremendous charity; any money that you can give would be greatly appreciated and will make a real difference - even just a couple of pounds.
Thank you!
