Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  As you know I was diagnosed with serious lung cancer last August. I came to the Royal Marsden Hospital (a specialist cancer hospital) looking for some hope after I had been told that it was incurable. They gave me hope and I have met some their great staff and patients since then.

I was in work one day and gone the next, it was all very sudden and like a bad dream.  I was invincible one morning, and a fragile mortal by the evening.  God always tries to teach us to be prepared.  I thought I was, I was very wrong. I suddenly felt huge empathy for millions of others knocking on heaven's door. I had met my equinox low tide, and was sinking. My future was uncertain and bleak.

Then, as I was going in one day to receive a daily dose of radiation at the hospital, the receptionist smiled to me, and said we do cure people you know?!  I began to believe, really believe and dared to dream. 

Since then, my doctors have said my healing progress is great, fantastically well.

I'd like to raise some money for the Royal Marsden, who are doing cutting edge research and treatment into cancer. It is one of the few places I've been to where you can feel the commitment to you, the patient.  I do believe, hand on heart, that money donated, will save lives,  including hopefully my own and others.
