Story
AGGGHHHH… I’m jumping 15,000ft out of an aeroplane!!!
My goal is to make £1,000 by the 1st August for
Bury Hospice – that’s two weeks away and I can only do it with your help.
Bury Hospice is one of the most amazing local facilities offering
those in need of a number of different services including inpatient care, an outreach
community service and bereavement assistance. This year is the Hospice’s
30th anniversary so what better reason to jump out of a plane!!!
I am jumping in memory of my late Dad, Edward Jones who
passed away four years ago and was very fond of his day trips to the Hospice during
the 11 years he battled ‘multiple myeloma’ – a rare bone cancer. Unfortunately,
at that time there was a shortage of funds so my Dad sacrificed his place at
the day service so that somebody else could attend. He was a hero and if we
reach the £1,000 target the Hospice will dedicate a heart on the wall in Honour
of him and your generous donations!
The below demonstrates what it takes
to keep the Hospice running and what your donations can achieve:
- £10 could pay for patients evening meal
- £25 could pay for a bereavement support
session - £50 could pay for a home visit by our community
outreach team - £75 could pay for a nurse for half a day
- £150 could pay for a nurse for a full day
- £450 could pay for a bed for a day
As you can imagine, the Hospice is a charity very close to my
heart and I would be so grateful for your donation (100% of which will go to Bury
Hospice). Every penny counts.
Please share and donate what you can.
Thanks in advance and wish me luck!!!
