On the day our son Eddie was born, in the midst of everything else, the midwives and hospital staff were in contact with Remember My Baby and, through them, arranged for a professional photographer to visit us a few hours later to take some pictures. These photographers are volunteers that give their time to capture these precious moments that would otherwise be lost forever.

It felt fairly strange at the time but we decided it was something worth doing. We thought we could easily leave the pictures if we didn't like them, but there would be no way to go back later if we didn't have any taken.

Our photographer Niki arrived on the evening of Eddie's birthday, and made us feel very comfortable straight away. She was great at setting up the hospital room to look less clinical, and ended up capturing some amazing photos in what was very difficult time for us.

We were so glad we made the decision to have these photos taken - we will miss out on a lifetime of photos with Eddie so these are ones we will treasure forever.
