Story
Thank you so much for visiting our Just Giving Page.
This page has been set up in loving memory of Eddie Risbridger. Well known most of his life as "Eddie in The Cab". He passed his Taxi Driver Knowledge when he was 21 and was a proud Black Cab Driver in London for most of his life.
Such was the love he had for his chosen profession, as a family, we felt that donations to The Taxi Drivers Charity, where disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children are taken for special days out in London Taxis with their Carers, was a fitting way to honour his memory.
Taken by Covid way before his time, Eddie leaves behind a devastated family.
Missing his effervescent presence in their home is his devoted wife Ann. Missing their undeniable bond, is his Brother and Best Friend, Stephen. Missing his unconditional love are his three doting Daughters Emma, Sasha and Tara. Missing his friendship and love are two Loyal Son In Laws, Nick and Neil. And missing their amazing super special proud Grandad Eddie are his 5 adoring Grandchildren, Mikayla, Cameron, Charlie, Madeleine and Teddie. A friend to so many, Eddie has left so many people heartbroken in his wake, and some of his friends have been quoted to say that losing Eddie is one of the saddest things they have ever had to live through.
What a legacy you leave, Eddie in the Cab. Your great big giant heart will live on in all who knew and loved you. How lucky we have been. We will love you forever, until we meet again. Don't know where, don't know when. But we know we'll meet again some sunny day...
