Story
Dear Parents,
The impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic are felt around the world, and we hope that you, your family and friends are safe and healthy.
Unfortunately, some of us have already been hit by this crisis on multiple levels, personally, socially, professionally or financially. The impact is likely to increase in the coming weeks and months.
We understand that some families are significantly impacted by the current circumstances, and we want to help them as much as we can.
Having witnessed incredible offers of solidarity in this unprecedented crisis, we have created this “Covid-19 support fund" to help those amongst us who need it the most. If you wish to support the school or its community, you can choose to donate any amount, or an amount equivalent to the remainder of the 3rd term school fees for instance, into this fund. The school is registered as a Charity, and you will be able to claim tax relief on your donations with the GiftAid process.
Any amount raised would go in priority to the families that are significantly impacted by the current circumstances and who as a result, may find it challenging to settle the 3rd term school fees.
Available funds would also enable us to support some of our employees within the lowest salary band who may face financial difficulties, for example because they are part-time employees without any other sources of income at present.
Lastly, any residual funds would allow the school to maintain some level of capital expenditures in 2020 in order to continue improving the quality of the teaching environment for our pupils.
We thank you on behalf of the school community. The school is resilient and together, we will successfully overcome the many challenges that are thrown at us. The values of mutual support and solidarity that define the extended Jacques Prévert family will hold true.
On behalf of the Board,
Marianne Megarbane
