Eastern Illusion, Avina Shah and colleagues are set to Skydive in support of Southall Black Sisters Charity. This charity fund raiser follows on from the release of UK Artist Avina Shah’s debut single ‘Tere Bina’ (Without You) to raise awareness of the delicate issue of domestic violence.

“I have chosen to skydive out of a plane to fully understand the meaning behind a saying I recently heard –"A life lived in fear is a life half lived". This will be my biggest challenge to date, anyone would fear jumping from a plane but I’m slowly gearing myself up to do this. Domestic Violence

1 in 4 women will be a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime, many of these on a number of occasions; it is still largely a hidden crime. Those who have experienced abuse from a partner or ex-partner will often try to keep it from families, friends, or authorities. For those women that do try to escape, the consequences can be fatal and on average, 2 women a week are killed by a current or former male partner.
