Story
On Monday 11 May starting at 1300 hrs we will attempt a 24hr 417-mile indoor cycling charity challenge in aid of Morecambe Bay Foodbank. We will take our turns to try and make the distance on Zwift! We aim to circumnavigate the Irish Sea.
Stage 1 - Heysham to Liverpool 66.2m
Stage 2 - Seatruck route from Liverpool – Dublin 136.9m
Stage 3 - Dublin to Warrenpoint 72.4m
Stage 4 - Seatruck route from Warrenpoint back to Heysham141.5m
We have decided to do this challenge to raise money for the Morecambe Bay Foodbank. 417 miles is a long way and it will be touch and go if we can make it in 24 hrs. The Morecambe Bay Foodbank has always done amazing work but their efforts during the COVID-19 have been incredible.
The Morecambe Bay Foodbank exists to help people in crisis by providing three days' worth of emergency food. They also provide school uniforms to children who need them in the area through our Uniform Project. You help to raise funds to pay for a new van so that they can continue their work. Their old van is getting too small and they need a new one so that they can keep on working to feed and help people in the area.
Thank you for your generosity,
Alistair, Meg, Will & Bess Eagles (Google the dog will be watching!)
