We support people in recovery to manage their mental and physical health

Story

Despite Covid preventing us from rehearsing in person this semester, EUWB has been working hard to prepare a selection of pieces to showcase in a "Virtual Winter Concert". Join us at 7pm on Friday 18th December when we will be presenting the culmination of our members' hard work over the past few months practicing, recording, and editing each piece! We would also be delighted if anyone who can tune in is able to donate to either of the 2 charities we have chosen to support: "Help Musicians Scotland" who are involved with supporting independent musicians in financial difficulty due to COVID-19 and "The Sorted Project" which offers support to people in Edinburgh and the Lothians who are recovering from substance dependency and/or mental health problems. We hope you'll log in for an evening of music from everyone's favourite Wind Band!

The Sorted Project’s canal boat, Panacea, provides a safe and peaceful space for people managing recovery from substance use and mental health. We provide a range of opportunities along the Union Canal. This includes training and volunteering and wildflower planting along our scenic canal network.
