ELLA’S 2.6 CHALLENGE · 27 April 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

Hi im Ella on 7th May it will be 6yrs since i had my 2nd kidney transplant. I grew up in hospital more than at home as i was very poorly and kidney failure caused lots of problems for me. Because of the NHS im here after 44 operations 2 kidney transplants strokes sepsis pnuemonia pres syndrome epilepsy factor 12 deficiency bone disease diabieties hyperthyroidism and low immune system to name a few. I have spent many times in intensive care on life support machine and many times where drs told my parents at end of line and start thinking of hospicies BUT the NHS didnt give up on me and im here because of them.
Normally this time of yr im preparing to do the Great Manchester mini run but as thats not happening now and inspired by captain Tom Moore and the current situation i decided to still do somthing. As i cant leave home due to being in the high risk group i cant go for walks so my front garden will have todo. To make it more fun than just goin round in circles im adding my favourite things to it singing dancing and superhero dressing up
