Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The ‘Saddle-Sore 1000’ is an internationally recognised long distance motorcycle challenge administered by the ‘Iron Butt Association’ (IBA) which upon duly evidenced and audited conclusion entitles the successful rider (and pillion) to a certificate and to display IBA plaque/badge. I am organising a ‘Saddle-Sore 1000’ challenge on Friday 12th June 2015 electing to raise money in support of the ‘HTAFC Foundation’ charity. I also wanted to do something to remember my dear brother, Nigel, on the 10th anniversary of his sad loss in a motorcycle collision. The challenge is to ride 1000 miles to John O’Groates and back in 24 hours. However, it must be emphasised that safety and adherence to legislation is paramount and strongly promoted by IBA.”
