The charity operates two refuge safe houses providing 31 bedrooms for women and children who have fled domestic abuse from all over the UK, with many from the London area, giving them a safe space to recover from trauma. Referrals for accommodation are received from Police, Victim Support, Social Services and sometimes from individuals who find us themselves.

They also offer outreach support for men, women and children, helpline 9am-9pm 365 days per year, online chat service and a developing children’s service. Specialist therapeutic support for children is provided via 1:1 and group recovery work both within refuge and in the community, delivered by a growing children’s team.

They are able to support adults and children with complex needs, both within refuge and the community, aiming to empower families to make informed choices about their lives and where necessary providing advocacy with other agencies and professionals to ensure they are treated with respect, dignity and understanding.
