Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I plan to complete in 15 events Mar 2015 to April 2016 and will be raising money throughout this period.
The challenges I face are far from easy but are achievable for most. However with such a number throughout the year and a personal pressure to be competitive, aiming for the top 1% of finishers, an arduous year long fitness regime is required to complete these tasks. This however is dwarfed by the challenges people suffering with ME each day. With some cases, comparing tiredness or exhaustion. Me running 1k of a race will be equal effort to an ME sufferer putting on their socks, of me running a 10k obstacle race being equal to an ME sufferer cooking a meal. So I feel this is the least I can do to help raise for an amazing charity that provides help to so many. With each race comes its own difficulties. To date the event I found the hardest, which came of great surprise to me was the Full Monty race held around Montycute in Yeovil, Somerset. It was a 10.5 mile run of pure cross country with hills so steep that the use of hands were necessary to reach the summits. With this run the leg burn was constant and relentless unlike the obstacle runs. The obstacles on most part, did allow a small rest for the lower body. So with that in mind this has been my biggest mental challenge, needing to overcome that little voice telling you its too hard and to quit. People suffering with ME have no option to quit, so neither do I! With 3 more races to go in 2016 the finish line for my fundraising effort is not too far away. Meaning I can finally relax a little. Shame its not so easy for ME sufferers. Please feel free to check out my dedicated website for in depth reviews, pictures and details in relation to how I'm getting on. (the donate tab will bring you back here if you feel my efforts worthy of support) and maybe together, one day ME will be treatable, so they too will have a finish line and an opportunity to do things with out such effort.
I have set up a dedicated website with a blog, reviews, photos and links. Please feel free to check it out and leave any comments and feedback at:

The Reason I've chosen my charity:
I decided to pick a charity that has closely helped my mother through a difficult diagnosis and subsequent number of years of suffering. They are a first port of call for any new sufferer whom needs advice or help in those important months following diagnosis. They work nationally via various points of contact and therefore work closely with individuals no matter where they are from, giving a very local community charity feel.
