Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

W & R Barnett, our parent company, are celebrating their 125th anniversary in 2021 and in recognition of this achievement a Charity Dragon Boat Race has been organised. Logson Group, the Cardboard Box Company and Jardin Corrugated are very proud to have been invited to take part and we have formed a joint team of brave volunteers to take up the challenge.

On the 15th of September 2021 our fearless team will hit the water in Belfast and compete with 9 other teams representing the various divisions of W & R Barnett.

Each team will have their own charities and we are pleased to announce that our boat will fundraise for the Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA)The great news is that whatever we raise will be matched by our Charity Matching Scheme and the matching will increase depending on our finish place in the Race. So every paddle stroke counts both for the competition and the charity!

We are delighted to be representing the Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA) in our boat and any support you give will make such a difference to their fantastic work. The charity works to enable everyone who is affected by Batten disease to live life to the full and to secure the care and support they need. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them as well as actively increasing awareness of the disease and funding future research to identify potential therapies and ultimately a range of cures.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
