We teach clinical staff in Africa to improve health in developing areas

Story

Poole Africa Link are supporting a new University Hospital in Lira Uganda.  They are struggling with the costs of equipment. During covid we sent them PPE made in Kampala, Oxygen concentrators and hand washing stands.

We Keep visiting and have seen the benefits of these donations so far. For this trip in 2 weeks time, we want to teach them how to use CPAP for newborns who are struggling to breath. We nearly have the 2,200 pounds we need, from an amazing donation from a mum whose baby had CPAP in Poole. We will take a machine out with us, specially designed for Africa. We also want to supplement a generous donation from rotary, to buy a defibrillator. We have hours of other teaching to do. We leave in 2 weeks but the first team arrived this morning.
