In honour of Dr Shafi, Lead Consultant Haematologist, at Darent Valley Hospital we wish to continue his legacy of caring for Haemato-onclogy patients by raising funds to support educational grants as he was so passionate in teaching. 

A particular post that Dr Shafi has successfully implemented which was 5 years in the making, was the Medical Training Initiative (MTI) that we would like to continue in his memory.

We are aware that there are many colleagues and patients who are wishing to contribute, which is why we have set the page up.

This money will also support a permanent memorial at the Hospital, which Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust will also be contributing to.
