A message from Eoin's Mum and Dad - Tracy and Joey
Eoin was born 01/02/1991 he was the first boy to be born on my side of the family in over 30 years. From the moment he came into the world he brought great love and joy to everyone who knew him. Eoin was a character who loved fun, his laugh was contagious, you couldn’t help smiling in his presence. He was a son, grandson, boyfriend, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to so many.
Growing up with his sister Terri and younger brother Joseph he was happy and energetic. Eoin was larger than life and had a great circle of friends. He loved soccer and was a loyal man united fan. Eoin pursued a plumbing career and eventually moved to London with his company Dornan engineering to finish his apprenticeship and build a career, he made great friends within the company and talked about them so much on the phone. He was joined in London by his girlfriend Emma and they started to carve out a life together.
Eoin had so much to live for and we will never know what happened in his head on the night he died. Our lives have changed so much and the void of not having our beautiful boy is incomprehensible.
We want him to be celebrated for his life not defined by his death. However we are aware Eoin died by suicide which is why we are proud to support the fundraising memorial that Dornan engineering host to raise vital funds for Mates in Mind (https://www.justgiving.com/matesinmind)
They address the stigma of poor mental health to promote positive mental wellbeing.
We hope that through the support and money raised by this event other families will be spared the indescribable pain endured by losing a child to suicide, good luck with the event love Tracy and Joey xx (Eoins mam and dad)
