Fundraising for Wendt Center for Loss and Healing
US$15,830
raised of US$7,220 target
In memory of Mark Nash
We are so excited for this year's grief camps! With your help, we can continue to provide a fun, supportive environment for young people and their families to explore their feelings, thoughts and life changes since the death of their loved one.

Story

This year I'm honoring my beloved husband, Mark Nash, with my fundraising for Camp Forget-Me-Not/Camp Erin D.C. Mark died on July 22nd of last year, so my fundraising goal is $7220. Your support through the years has meant so much to me. I'm hoping that you will again support Camp and join me in celebrating Mark's life.

Again this year the Wendt Center will offer in-person day camps for grieving children and their families and virtual camps through the Fall. The pandemic caused the Wendt Center to switch from the weekend sleep-away Camp Forget-Me-Not to this expanded format. The new  programming enables us to reach over 200 children and families and help adults learn how to support their children and other loved ones suffering from devastating losses.

You and others who generously support Camp-Forget-Me-Not enable the Wendt Center to offer the day camps and Fall programs free of charge. As before, I'll be volunteering with the Littles (children age 6-9). Their camp with be June 24th from 9am--7:15pm at a site in Washington, D.C. Kid-friendly meals and snacks are provided throughout the day.

Campers will experience a safe space to gently explore the normal process of grief with loving support, laughter, learning, and fun activities. Learning early in life that they're not alone in grief and how to soften the pain of loss will benefit Campers for the rest of their lives.

I deeply appreciate your support through the years, xoxoxo Donna
