Story
In October I shall be trekking the final 67km of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail in northern Spain. In doing so I am hoping to raise as much money as possible in support of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. The trek itself will take approximately 3-4 days over various terrain and altitudes culminating at the Unesco World Heritage Site, Santiago de Compostela.
The hospice has unfortunately played a part in my life caring for my aunt Paula in her final few weeks of life. The care they provide to patients and their families is crucial, knowing that a family member is pain free and comfortable when they pass away gives comfort to those they leave behind. The Hospice of the Good Shepherd go above and beyond to ensure that wishes and requests of patients and their families are met in order to provide reassurance, dignity and positive memories which is why I want to support them with their work.
