May 19th marks my 50th birthday and as you may have noticed, I have been very fortunate in life and have everything that I could possibly ever want or need! 

As you know we will be celebrating this monumental occasion in Northumberland and some of you may be  considering buying me a gift …Please don’t !! This occasion is strictly ‘no gifts’ as I would like to re-direct your generosity to making a donation to St Leonard’s hospice in York. Dad and I will be forever grateful for their kindness and the care they gave to mum in her final weeks … they will have our loyalty and support for ever.
