For many families in Glasgow holidays are out of reach. Glasgow remains the most deprived city and local authority area in Scotland. 34% of all children in the city were estimated to be living in poverty. That's over 37,000 children. Many of these children will never enjoy a few days at the seaside or the country.

For more than 60 years this charity has provided thousands of children and families with a break.

Each year GCHS organises holidays for around 500 children from the Greater Glasgow area.
