Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Recently I read 'Half The Sky,' a journey across Africa and Asia about the unimaginable hurdles women there face, and their stories of courage and determination. This inspired me to become an Ambassador for the Half The Sky Movement. Around the same time, I went to an event organised by the Hunger Project, titled 'Rethinking What's Possible' and learnt about the leadership development model that empowers women and men living in rural villages to become agents of change in overcoming hunger and poverty. The two causes are aligned for me, and so I decided that hosting a film show for the Half The Sky Movement would be a great opportunity to fundraise for the Hunger Project.
