About the charities

Bridge the Gap Campaign in support of TaxAid and Tax Help for Older  People

TaxAid and Tax Help for Older People support people on low incomes who need help with tax issues but can’t afford to pay for advice. The people they help often have nowhere else to turn and are facing other difficulties in their lives such as bereavement, family breakdown, serious illness, mental breakdown or loss of business, which have led to or exacerbated their tax problems. The charities resolve the immediate problem and also educate their clients so that they can handle their own tax going forward.

As a tax practice, we are supporting the charities through pro bono work and volunteering as well as fundraising. With our support, the charities set up a dedicated COVID-19 Self-Employed Income Support Scheme helpline to help low earning self-employed people claim the government support available to them during the pandemic.
