Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Both Katie and I like a challenge and this is certainly going to be one for us both!!
After serious deliberation, we have come up with a list of things that scare us about participating in this event: 1) Drowning 2) The cold 3) Dead bodies 4) Shopping trollies 5) Not knowing how deep the water is 6) Getting a mouthful of something yucky! 7) Not being able to get into our wetsuits! (if we had longer, I'm sure we could come up with a few more! ;))
However, we are both prepared to be scared (and soggy!) to raise money for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital - a really wonderful charity that helps hundreds of poorly children and their families. If we can hit our target of £1000, we can buy half a Spirometer, which will make helping children with breathing difficulties much easier!
All donations, large or small will be greatly appreciated and we'll try our best to do you proud on 'the big day' (2nd July)
And just in case you need any more incentive to donate, the fact that we were prepared to post such an incredibly unflattering photo of ourselves must be worth something?? ;)
