Government's persuaded to change their laws!"  For over 50 years Amnesty International has been standing up for Human rights around the world. They are passionate about creating a safer, more just world. Basic human rights apply no matter where you are from, what you believe in, or how you live your life!

Amnesty campaigns and issues include: Welcoming refugees, Freedom of speech, the Death penalty, Womans human rights, FGM and forced early marriage, Syria, Human rights in the UK, and LGBTI rights.

I first became aware of and started supporting Amnesty International back in 1998 while at University. At that time I got very specifically involved with Tibetan human rights as my then boyfriend/ now husband is Tibetan. Passionate about human rights on every level I've continued to support the work and campaigns Amnesty International has lead over the years, and have on countless occasions been demonstrating in London holding an Amnesty placard! I strongly believe everyone deserves basic Human rights. 

I started running 2 years ago. I ran my 1st 10km race for 'Cancer Research' in memory of a close friend who had recently died. Last year I ran my 1st half marathon raising money for 'Help Refugees'. The Big Half is my 1st charity place run and is by far the biggest race I’ve run to date! I'm proud to be running for Amnesty UK and will rise to the challenge!
