In April 2019 mum was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer that had spread into her spine. She spent the rest of the year receiving various treatments whilst continuing to go to work when able and going about her life as normally as she could.

In November she went into hospital and was told in early December she had weeks to live. Sadly she lost her battle on 6th January 2020 but fought it to the bitter end.

She was keen that people did not waste money on flowers but instead donated money to Priscilla Bacon Lodge who were so wonderful at looking after her in the last month of her life.

Priscilla Bacon Lodge are raising money to build a new hospice so they can look after another 24 people which will be supported by all of the kind donations here. £1000 will ensure that mums name is engraved onto a memorial wall which would be fitting for her.
