Dr David Jackson, Clinical Director & Consultant Medical Oncologist who initiated the challenge told us: ‘I’m delighted and proud that so many dedicated, committed members of staff within the cancer teams here at The Leeds Cancer Centre, together with friends and family,  are taking time to support our patients over and above their busy work schedules.Their enthusiasm is remarkable. I’m really pleased that we will be able to raise the profile of the Leeds Cancer Centre, as an important local charity, helping us to provide the best possible care for our patients. The Yorkshire Cancer Centre Appeal raises funds for the 2,000 patients that are treated at Leeds Cancer Centre every day and the Leeds Cancer Centre team will help raise vital funds to support research, equipment, home comforts and arts and gardens projects which benefit all patients treated at the centre.
