Greetings and welcome to Bicycle-Bros.com. We are Dave and Alex, two university graduates embarking on a bicycle trip spanning 6 countries, 6* months and 6000* kilometers. All with the goal of raising money for Cancer Research UK. Bicycle-Bros.com will provide you with regular blog updates of the adventure along with photographs and videos from the road. WHY CANCER RESEARCH?

In short, we believe everyone, everywhere has in one way or another been affected by cancer. It is no different for us. Dave’s mother recently beat breast cancer’s ass and Alex’ father unfortunately passed away from prostate cancer in 2006. Because of this, Cancer Research UK is the obvious choice for our fundraising efforts.

WHY A BIKE RIDE AND WHY SOUTH EAST ASIA?

Being regular users of the weight room at the gym, we definitely are not fans of cardio. However, having bought our first road bikes 3 years ago we fell in love with everything it entails: the freedom, ease of getting around and even the pain it involves.

So when we thought of ways to raise money to fight cancer, we could not think of a better way than a charity bike ride. At first we thought about cycling across the US but then one thing led to another and we settled on South East Asia, With a route beginning in Bangkok, taking us through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and finishing up in Singapore. 

So please join us as we pedal against cancer in heat, mountains and torrential rain. Your donation however much will be greatly appreciated and is close to both our hearts.
