Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for my Tri-Sport Challenge on the Saturday 2nd April 2016 at the new Crewe Lifestyle Centre, Cheshire. (The event will mark the occasion of the opening of the 'flag-ship' lifestyle centre in Cheshire East.)
Community is critically important and the service that St. Luke's provides to Cheshire; is a pillar of strength within the community to those with Cancer. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2015 and the service St. Luke's provided to my wife and us as a Family was critical during a time of deep darkness. The love, kindness, care and beautiful human nature of those working at St. Luke's Hospice within the Cheshire community is essential to help those touched by Cancer.
To say thank you and to connect St. Luke's Hospice deeper into the Cheshire Community, I have set myself a challenge of swimming 4 hours, biking 4 hours and then 4 hours running consecutively. After having a serious back injury 2 years ago and being told I would never run again now sees me in a position to dissolve my own discomfort and challenges, to help inspire others to contribute to the Cheshire Community; by doing something that will increase their own happiness, self-belief and quality of health in their and others lives.
To build a healthier and more connected community through superb institutions such as St. Luke's Hospice and the Crewe Lifestyle Centre is essential in bringing everybody together to provide inspiration and hope where previously there may have been non.
